I was actually talking about a 92. I am not too familiar with the security harness in the 95. There is a wire pre-run from the rear defogger to the security harness in the dash.

Hmmmm. Very interesting. Could you draw a diagram of the layout? I'll search my manuals, but, something tells me that this particular wire won't be clearly identified.

Me neither. Fuse, yes. Battery, no. I've had the security unit apart and have found no battery. Voltage to run the system, while the key is off, is stored in a capacitor, I think. Once the capacitor is drained, the unit begins to draw from the car battery (along with the clock memory, etc.). Thus, if you leave your car parked for an extended period of time, the battery will die.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I currently have a battery drain, but this occurs weather or not the car is armed or not. In cold weather, it drains the car about every week or so, ive just been leaving it unplugged as to not strain the batt a horendous amouth since it is new, but is it possible my securty system is malfunction, i.e. the capacitor is not charging and drians the batt?

Don't rule out a bare wire due to the tranny swap. As a check, pull the negative battery terminal. Then, touch one end of a test light to the negative battery post and the other to the loose negative treminal. If it lights, you've got a short, somewhere.
