Yeah i was gonna look else where (shh don't tell dayle ) But i was mainly asking if you guys think it would be worth it to replace the cat. Would it give me better performance or sound?

Also i noticed on ebay it says its 2.5" in and 2.0" but the resonator and muffler are 2.5" in and 2.5" out. Would that be a problem or would that be an easy fix?

For about a stock engine, Most people I see use a 2.5in from the manifolds to cat and 2in back from the cat to muffler. But if the muffler and resonator you have are 2.5in the i would just get a coupler on the cat.

2" dual from the manifolds to the main cat

2.5" single from the main cat to resonator and transverse muffler

Okay so i have one more final question if i did all that i said (muffler, resonator, cats and 2.5" pipe) how loud do you guys think it would be? Outside of cosmetic stuff my engine is completely stock.

Anyone who has done an entire exhaust system similar to mine?

Confused by this! I know nothing about flow dynamics and such but just using my 'common sense', I would make an exhaust that would be the same size all the way through OR start off with a max flow/least restriction diameter and step it down as it gets closer to the muffler. Make it smaller by .25 perhaps but no more. My reasoning for this is to maximize flow but keep restriction at a minimal.

Why would you go larger the further you move out from the exhaust ports? Wouldn't that slow down the exhaust flow?


RE-EDIT!!!! Nevermind.....you are going from a dual to a single. I'm thinking straight dual all the way though...
