Has anyone tried this oil filter??

I read that a 944 oil filter will fit the svx, true enough its about twice as long and fits perfect. This would be of great benefit for the guys running boost.

Re: Have anyone tried this mod

Because since the filter is larger it should in theory provide cooler oil to a turbocharger, also it increases your capacity to hold a little more oil.I'm already thinking about fabbing up a coolair duct.

the filter is approx, 100cc more vol.
if you think that's gonna make a difference w/ cooling
they make these things called oil coolers that work WAY better.
btw this thread is pretty much a

Any increase in oil capacity is going to help cool the oil no matter how little.

I think the increased surface area of the element will allow for better flow through the filter at high volumes which effectively will help cool the oil and keep it circulating well at high RPMs, right where we need it most. While we may have known about them for a long while, a reminder for the newer folks is always a good thing Thanks for bringing it up, and thanks OT for discovery it
