Question hi my 92 lsl has a water pump leak

i just had a major service done i bought it at 226,000 and its on 238,000 now the mechanic reckons it had original sparkplugs in it and wow they were worn lol and he told me water pump was leaking a fair bit and it does when its cold tho when it warms up it stops i dunno i had a feeling it might of been on the way out because on idle i can hear what sounds like the bearing in the pump squeeking and i give it a bit of a rev and it evens out and stops but when i let it go back to idle it squeeks again does anyone have any ideas on the best way to fix this or kno where i can get a good quality one fairly cheap ?
also oddly the exhaust is almost half as loud as it used with the new spark plugs tho it runs a sh#tload smoother

You simply need to change both the sparks and the pump

Not to mention a new timing belt and rollers.
Good price on a kit on ebay. Not on there today but probably will be tomorrow? If not I will try to find the info for you

Maybe someone has the information. Many have gotten it from them. A Washington state company about 100 years old... good people!

Re: hi my 92 lsl has a water pump leak

I found it!
The Import Experts
405 E Arlington
Yakima, WA 98901

TEL : 1-800-572-3681

You can call them... You can trust them!
If the water pump is leaking, it is driven by the timing belt... meaning water is more than likely getting on the belt and rollers. If the pump seizes, you are done with driving. Be safe... don't let that happen to you.

And you can get the kit with the water pump included. Then all you will need are the cam and crank seals. You are replacing them aren't you????

Yeah, anyone know who sells the timing belt kit with the water pump? I'll be replacing it when I do a complete engine reseal in a few weeks.

As well as the one Keith posted there is also an outfit in California, which is a little closer to Australia!

http://stores.ebay.com/CNSAutoParts/Contact-Us.html

Your best bet is the ring them. I don't see the water pump listed, but that does not mean they can't get one. It will be on their system, they may have to back-order for you, but it should be possible to get a complete kit.

These guys specialise in selling into that sector of the market.
