It's on a station wagon, SVXes don't have a D pillar.. A pillar is the windshield pillar (between the w/s and the door, what the door hinges are bolted to) B pillar is the center pillar, where the door latch is located (and the rear door hinges are bolted on a 4 door car), the C pillar is what the rear door latches to, and a D pillar is the rear pillar on a station wagon.

The plastic cover inside the car, on the package shelf at the base of the backglass, comes off easily by sliding forward, but as I recall that's not going to help you find a kink in the line.

Did you try inserting a small straight pin or needle into the nozzle? Could be there's a bit of trash clogging the works.

I have to go out and look again but I didn't see any "plastic cover". Maybe mine is missing. Speaking of the "package shelf, can I get that off and be able to follow the line? If so, do you know how to get it off before I butcher the thing? This washer fluid may be a littlke thing but it is started to piss me off

Shows ya what I know.

CorSVXette, the only way to fully access the tubing and wiper assembly is to pop-off the top section of the trunk liner.

OK I just went out and looked at mine and realized that I AM missing that plastic cover. I still cannot get to the hose though I can see it but fingers are not that small. How can I pop off the trunk liner without destroying it? With all you people out there that are parting out these cars someone has to know how to get to that hose without destroying everything. Also if someone has that plastic piece for sale, my interior color is Gray.

There's probably some application-specific trim tool for removing the retainer pins that hold that liner in place, but I just (held my breath and) popped the liner over the heads of the pins. If you do this carefully the holes in the liner will stretch a bit and not tear. Once you have it loose, use needle-nose pliers and/or a screwdriver blade to compress the tabs that hold the pins in place, and remove the pins. When you're done, just hold the liner up and snap the pins back into the holes. I've done this on both of my cars and you'd never know by looking that the liner had been removed.

That plastic piece you're missing is probably available pretty cheap from Subaru.
