No, I think they were wondering why you had parked in a handicap space.

Driving 45 mph in 5" of new snow on route 80 east and passing EVERYONE
Beating the Cadillac in street drag race up slight hill when the light turned green. Well you now the road was wet from the rain and his front tires just spun when he punched it. "Priceless"

The roar my car makes right now since the exhaust is cut off at the pre-cats. Sounds like a big block.
I almost want to drive around a bit. I'd get shot though.

When I was using mine everyday, during winter wet weather it got dirty as you would expect. Two things about this are of interest.
I have had people clean off the muck off the centre rear light panel to read what car it is when parked in Dublin. I have had loads of people complain to me how dirty I'm keeping the car during the week. Now, I'm very particular how shiny I keep my cars, check my locker! However, this illustrates how "special" many people see the SVX shape to be; they feel it should be kept showroom every day. Joe

When you get in and close the door it just fits like a well worn leather jacket.
The fact that I constantly look back at the car when I leave it, thinking "What a gorgeous looking car!" The sound when you hit power mode. The fact that at 210 km/hr it feels almost as solid as at 110 km/hr and 120 km/hr feels dambed close to 50 km/hr. 12 hours of driving doesn't fatigue you. The white knuckles and looks on the faces of passangers as I tell them I don't really drive fast. I just don't like to slow down for corners. |

Why I love the SVX? I just do. Been a member here 3 years before owning one and used to be a 'lurking' part of the yahoo SVX and Kinetic Concepts boards. I just...DO!! Unique looking car...The windows is what drew me in (I liked the old turbo probe too BTW).

I love SVX because its A BOXER, AWD, quick, reliable, good looking, Italian designed and I don't hate anything about it.

I like the SVX for a whole slew of reasons;
- the looks on people's faces when I tell them my car has 200k+ miles - if I feel like impressing little kids I tell them it's from the future - Initial D fanboys think it's a JDM nissan - it has a heater - the speedo works - it has a radio ... okay, so maybe those last three are a bit... silly. But if you came from where I was in the car world about 4 weeks ago, you'd be like "Wow your car has turn signals?!" too...

Hmm...
driving around in a "storm of the century" ice storm with the sunroof open, heater on, watching the pickups with chains on have trouble staying on the road. oh and screwing with people by leaving parkinglots n the like dead sideways through applied "bad" driving. Sure makes the people with the camry w just cables on go real real slow. Oh yah the guy next door asking what the hell I was driving cause I would zip up and down the driveway (hill) like it was dry pavement despite being a sold sheet of ice. His mid 80s chevy pickup on old style mud and snow tires had some issues. Ah the joy of crummy tires with excessive sipes Oh and something involving my SVX, a early boxter, and something you can't talk about here. shame my SVX has massive brake fade, not that it mattered.
