As for the steering wheel check to see if the power steering fluid level is set correctly.
Some people have found that the o-ring between the power steering pump the the reservoir has completely deteriorated and causes issues similar to this. Simply replacing this o-ring resolves this issue. As for the creaking noise try to narrow down exactly where the noise is coming from. It's possibly the front sway bar bushings.

Curly one
Your diagnosis if accurate, indicates that the vibration is torque related and does not effectively indicate a steering fault, as it would appear it is present in a straight line. Could well be a CV joint, bearing, or a suspension component loose/worn and moving under wheel torque. Careful inspection, while rocking each front wheel off the ground, may show up something. Do not rule out a faulty tyre/tire as being a possible. I know from annoying experience, that effects can be weird.

Perhaps one of your calipers is dragging.

So, are you saying that you only buy two new tires at a time? if so, you are in for some BIG trouble tranny wise. I learned the hard way, lets hope you dont have to. Also, simply having over torqued lug nuts can cause that shudder.

Though if the rear tyres are only 20% worn, I would not worry too much about it. Harvey.

With tyres at your normal operating pressure, measure from the centre of the wheel to flat ground and compare. If you find it hard to establish an exact centre point you can work off a wheel nut in an exactly the same position for each wheel. Vertical would be easy. You are not trying to measure actual diameter and are simply comparing front and rear. You can mark a stick rather than use a measure if you like. Hopefully there will be only a small discrepancy.
