I'm not familiar with it, but imagine a cooler of any size contained within a radiator would allow the ATF to exceed 150 degrees, the temp at which the TC locks. Pure guess.

If I had one of the new radiators I'd probably still run a mid-sized external cooler to ward-off hi-temp spikes under extreme conditions.

Considering that I do much more city driving than long highway cruises, where the car doesn't really go fast for long enough for the TC lockup to make much difference, I'm happy to put up with a couple of MPG less if it means that I can delay spending $3-5k at once for a tranny replacement that's going to happen sooner or later. I'd much rather spend a dollar more per fill up over several years than drop $5k at once. Like I said, it's been about 5 years since I bypassed the factory cooler and it still runs as good as it did back then and I doubt that I've paid that much for extra gas used in all that time. But as the saying goes, to each his own.

If your answer is yes, then more power to you.

Even with the PWR radiator, you'd still want an auxillary ATF cooler (ideally placed in the driver side fender well). The SVX 4EAT generates quite a bit of heat.
