hey tom, for your tranny transplants, what do you include? do you check the tranny internals and replace parts if needed or is it just a straight buy and replace? i'm just curious. sounds like that $550 that magik's getting is a drop and install.

Strait buy and replace, but with a new trans filter, and checking the pan magnet for shavings.
We also check the torque converter for "one way" movement internally.
If you can twist the internal splined shaft both ways easily the TQ is shot.
And adjust the band.
Also most of the transmissions, depending on where they come from, have a 30 day guarantee.
Not on labor, but on the trans itself.
This means that if the trans is bad, you would have to pay for labor again, and fluids again.
But since you are buying the trans and rear on your own, it is not marked up by us,saving hundreds.
