Price on a good condition '92 SVX???
I keep thinking about looking for a pearlie that isn't banged up, and it's gotta have the touring package, no rust, any ideas of what I should expect to pay??? I know miles will affect it, and I wouldn't mind low miles, but low miles aren't that important to me

My little brother bought a 92 pearlie with the touring package last year for $4500. No rust or dents, 104k miles, and the only problem was a leak from the rear window.

I would think you should be able to get one for $5,000 or less, depending on the number of miles. If you pay $3,000 or less, you may not be getting much for your money. I would rather pay a little more and get a good one than get a "good deal" and find out later that more $$$$$ is needed to "Fix" it up. Good hunting.

I agree with Earl to some extent, however, we differ on what you can get for under $3k. You can easily come up with an SVX in need of a tranny but otherwise in excellent shape for under 3k and personally, unless I was gonna fill my barn with 'em I'd prefer to buy one with a bad tranny b/c you already know that the tranny isn't gonna last. You could easly spend $6k on a good running, excellent looker then 5k miles down the road need to spend another $3k on a tranny.

I recently picked a silver '92 lsi up for $1000... needs some work (trans., f.c/v shafts, struts) but the body is in good shape. It already has aftermarket exhaust and about $800 in tires. Look around, the deals ARE out there... try autotrader.com and what not. They have alot of '92's advertized.

Hay $1000 for a running SVX is not bad, kind of a mechanics special but not a bad deal.
