Thumbs up wife's review

Hello people,

I'm a new guy that has been lurking on this forum for a couple of years. First, thanks for all your help. Lots of good info. History: I bought a 92 SVX for my daughter's college car three years ago because the wife said the 300ZX didn't have enough room. We kind of fell in love with the car but it is sort of a maintenance hog. One new bearing, one new tranny, one new mass airflow, etc, etc. Anyway, the daughter sort of fell out of love with it so her little brother bought it from her and the daughter got a 99 Acura CL. The wife drove the Acura 300 miles last weekend to deliver the car and drove the SVX home. When she got home, the verdict was, "No comaprison, the SVX is a much nicer car." We're keeping the SVX after the son gets through with it. (He has to take perfect care of it or he loses it) The wife comes from a hardcore car family and if she says it's good, it's good.

Congrats Boundsie on your first posts, even after a couple of years.

Congrats also on having a family with good motoring tastes. You schooled them well!

Make sure the young fella keeps to sensible speeds, and always keeps good tyres underfoot and the brakes well serviced. Great car dynamically, but it cannae change the Laws of Physics.

Drive safe.

Joe

Thanks for finally joining in, Boundsie. I'm sure that this bunch of whackos has frightened you and delayed your joining in conversations. It's kinda like getting into the pool at the first of Summer. You gotta take it slow and easy and wade in a bit at a time.

Again, thanks for joining us.

BTW, Where's Grant? My wife's from Lincoln, I met her in Omaha and we used to visit her Dad in Grand Island. I'll still be visiting my Stepsons/Grandchildren in Omaha and in Mo-Valley IA, perhaps we can meet (along with Scottheany) some time when I'm up for a visit.

After several years of diving for the navy all of wich were right here in baumy CT where the water never gets above 70 and spends most of its time well below 50, I have come to the conclusion that the best way to get into the water is to just go. This is especialy true when there is a nice layer of ice over the river and you need the momentum to break through it. Sure its like walking into an asswoopin but thats what its all about.
HOOYAH!

"US Navy Divers, The men your wife dreams about" not sure who I'm quoting but its on one of my dive shirts.

Made me think of the guy in Russia, who spent 40 minutes in freezing water with "No War" written on his forehead, to protest the war.

A valiant effort, but, I'm sure he's gonna have to sit down to pee for, at least, a month.
