ECUtune Stage II reviews

Well I figured with the limited amount of Stage 2 users out there, we would try and post of what we think

I love it... The car pulls up though the rpms that used to lay flat or buck. It will also allow me to further modify the engine without having to worry about MAF restriction. Once the new software is available...v5 with the new idle configurations I will be more than pleased... Thanks LAN for a great product and strong tech support with it!!

Can't say definitively whether or not it is stronger than the Stage 1v4. The best characteristic for me is the smoothness of the throttle response. Before I was chipped, if I nailed it at low to mid rpm's, there would be a slight hesitation, before I got full response. Not the case now. It's very strong at low to mid rpm's. If I leave the climate control on, I get the strong response from a dead stop. If I don't, the idle problem gives me a slight hesitation. Since I am 4EAT, I shift at 6400-6500 rpm, so I didn't really detect the MAF max-out with the Stage1v4. Looking forward to seeing how it works when I have a few more mods under the hood.

The very first versions that were released were for Nitrous.

The Stage 2v4 and v5 which ECUTune released uses a Z32 MAF and software to allow the car to make much more hp than stock.

Go to www.ecutune.com for more info.

Well, having just taken the NASA-funded time machine out for another spin, i can say the following:

"The 2v5 chip with the z32 MAF is the best thing since sliced bread! I can't believe how easy it made it to beat ChikeBob by several car lengths at the Drag Strip! Given the power it unleashes, the 2v5 with the z32 MAF should be left in the hands of the SVX OBD-I owners only!"

the v4 was defective because the software was written while Mike had his A/C on along with the headlights so idle was all funky with them off

is there actually more hp created or freed up from the stage 2? Does this increase 1/4 mile times?
