Rear ABS Tone Ring Replacement
Hi. My tone ring for the passenger side rear has broken. Does anyone know how to replace one of these? I'd like to replace it without removing the hub, but I'll go with anyway that is easiest.
And they are fairly expensive. Subaru wants around $110 for one. So if anyone knows where I can get one for a lot less, please let me know. Thanks. Larry |

Re: Rear ABS Tone Ring Replacement
Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to get the tone wheel off without removing the hub (well, you could cut it in two, then remove the bolts, but you wouldn't be able to install the replacement one without removing the hub).
Good luck! Ian. |

Re: Rear ABS Tone Ring Replacement
Thanks for your response.
What I did was buy some JB Weld and used it on the ABS ring. Made sure surfaces to be "welded" were clean, and did some light sanding on both. Applied it Wednesday night. Check the ABS ring today and it seems to be on very tight; would be surprised if it doesnt hold. This stuff is amazing. |
