shuddering in front end

First of all, I will be honest and say that I have not gotten under the car to look yet, but I will be tomorrow morning. Here is the issue: The car shudders/ vibrates above 50mph and when turning at any speed above 10-15mph. It had a PS leak for a week or two that I fixed last week. The car was just aligned and the wheels balanced. Hitting pot holes causes an awful clatter (not strut related, but rather steering ) It is so bad it feels like the strut is not bolted tightly to the hub.

I would say either tie rod ends or ball joints, but if it was just aligned the tech should have done a thurough front end inspection. My front end rattles over bumps at speeds below 45-ish MPH because of worn caliper slides, which lets the calipers rattle around. If I ride the brakes it holds them in place and the noise goes away. I don't feel it in the wheel though.
