For my ignition to get rekeyed( my key actually broke off and dug itself into the ignition cylinder) it was 230 dollars..and the idiot dealer rekeyed it to my valet key....grrrrr..........

A key cut without the blank being inserted into the key cutter all the way caused my key to be unremovable. a lock shop had to take the thing apart for me. walmart paid for the locksmith and the new keys walmart made work just fine. i double checked them to make sure they were cut from the tip of the key rather than from part way down the key as the bad ones had been then tried the key in the trunk before the ignition.

There is a small lever on the underside of the steering column. It is sunk into the plastic cover. look for it, once you have found it, jiggle it unitl the key is able to be removed

There is a small metal pin under the steering column cover (might not have to remove it to get to it if memory serves me right) when pushed in will release key. See section 3-3, page 4 of factory service manual.
