Check out the clean intake manifold

Decided to do some cleaning to my Intake Manifold. Just used some engine degrease and a small copper wire brush. This is a pic of it half way done the whole thing took about 1 hour to do. Let me know what yall think.

Looks good. You might want to put aluminum foil around all of the surrounding areas (and under the intake) to keep the cleaner off of electrical connectors, sensors, alt, etc.

I just started mine... Went anouther route, I was doing my brakes when I decided to paint the calipers red. Instead of of just cleaning them, i to a drill mounted wire brish and I scrubbed them clean like that. then I thought, all that is on my manifold is 14 years of crap, so I started no my manifold, it has been comming out great! nice and shinny just like I would imagine the brand new one looking.

What is a peal black SVX? As for cost, if you do it yourself just a few dollars worth of caliper paint. If you get them powdercoated, significantly more.
