"Claret"- Claret SVX (bought from auction)

"Green"- Emerald Pearl SVX (Purchased from a network member)

"Homer"-86 RX (because it had a Homer Simpson in it when I bought it from a guy a few miles away)

"Tank"-68 Cadillac (been in family since bought brand new)

"Nightrider"- Fiero (purchased new by my uncle and he named it that)

The 300ZX doesn't have a name...yet.

We also have some vehicles that aren't in my signature that have names.

"The Magic Truck"-International box truck RV conversion (bought from a magician)

"Casper the Short Bus"-dodge extended van (because it's huge and white..bought from ebay)

"Limo bus"- (actually was a rental Limo bus that several celebrities used Garth Brooks was one of them) bought from a repo company

"Mini bus"-shuttle bus (for sale if anyone wants to buy it)

Yeah thats about it..

My car doesn't REALLY have a name. I mean, I chose a fitting name for it, but we never use it. We just call it 'the svx' (though we pronounce the whole thing, "svix" it's a habit we have around here. BP is "buh-puh", PDQ is "puh-duh-quh")

BUT, I named my car "Komo" You see, the first time I ever saw an SVX, it was in a police chase video where he drove across a golf course and such. When I found the original news crew that got the TV, it was KOMOTV, and I thought; "That's such a silly name."

SO there ya go.

My '92s are boys (because their ruff) and my '95 is a girl (because its a beautiful car and its very smooth). But my black car is "blackie" and my pearl is "pearlie" or "the penguin", the red is "brilliance". No one ever calls them that, I just use those when I say something about a certain one so people know which one im talking about.

Agreed, oh well. I did think it was pretty baller how he took it through a friggin golf course. lol

At least he got busted, HARD.

My girlfriend calls it "Stars". You see, I play this here arcade game that has SVX and my car's moniker is "The Chosen Stars" Apparently she really likes that name.

Cool subarufamily

the beast came about after it got stuck in 16 inch of snow. it was a beast to get unstuck. (b*tch more like it) it further stuck on after it ran through a toyota camry. They turned in front of me and i ended the other cars life, only minor cosmetic damage to the beast. It has ss brake lines, k&n cold air intake, iridum plugs, d/s rotors,b&m transmission cooler and kevlar brake pads. it has plans to be further dressed as $ comes available

To some of us, a car is much more than just a machine. It can be a member of the family, or in my case, an extension of my self.

You gotta understand, when I'm behind the wheel, I'm not driving the car. I am the car. The car is me. We are SVX...

Now If you'll excuse me, I have a driving lesson to attend. Wouldn't want to upset Mr. Miyagi.

Most of you already know the names of our cars. The names are also on the license plates of the cars.

'97 SVX - SUBYDOO obviously came from the Scubydoo cartoon series. This plate was originally on the '96 red Outback. I chose this neam to distinguish this Outback from Rosie's '96 green Outback, which was named "AH SO."

'94 SVX - PEARLY is Rosie's car and she came up with the name. I guess it came from the great paint job on the car.

'92 SVX - SVXY - Rosie came up with this name. She liked it. I always was partial to a plate that read 'SVXLII'. I know it's arcane, but anyone who took latin can figure it out. I like it because it has SVX in it. It has my initial in it, and it has 92 in it.

'97 Outback XT Wagon - AH SO - This palte has been with us many, many years. It traces it's lineage from the '97 Outback, the '96 Outback (totaled), to the '84 Toyota Supra. Back in '84 when we were at the motor vehicle sdept., all the good vanity plate names for a Supra were already taken. WE had made up a list of about 8 names and each name on it was already gone. Rosie thought up AH SO as the list names were being rejected one by one. She liked it because she is an English teacher and the car was Japanese.

I can't post photos of the cars & plates because the file size just exceeds the limits. I'll try to put them in my locker.
