I cant wait to put it in... it should be firmer than stock correct?

i'm taking the car into my coworker's father's shop on Wednesday to see what they can do.

In the ballpark of 500-700 they are going to:

Straighten the frame
Remount the bumper
Strip the bumper and grille
Paint and install the grille, bumper and jdm front splitters
Fill in and repaint my center caps
Align the hood so the gap is gone.

Yeah, I still have them fender liners.

Speaking of...its hard to tell in the picture, but it the hood too dark for the rest of the car, or is the fender too light? You midaswell have the shop take care of the colormatch while your at it

Well... here we are:

Not 100% perfect... but I will be having the car fully restored next year once the funds and time are available

Not bad for a "totaled" car though.

Nice dude. IMHO you should have gotten the trunk/spoiler painted silver while you were at it. I think that'd look sick. But even still, awesome shots, awesome car!

As you can see it's not horrible, but the body shop I took it to was not dilligent in their efforts to try and get it back onto the road.

The car isn't 100% perfect and not everything lines up exactly the way it should, but it does look better than I've had it before. My coworker's father owns a body shop and helped me out.

The breakdown

<$300 for the new radiator and used bumper
$0 labor for installation (did that myself )
$550 to straighten the frame and hood, repaint the bumper, 97 grille and jdm splitters w/install, and fill in/repaint my center caps for my new rims
_________________________________
Total cost less than 850 to get it back up and running

Total cost with jdm 2 pc splitter - $1100

Estimate from the insurance company:
$1500 using used bumper and radiator
$2800 using new bumper and new radiator

This car is now going to be retired to weekend warrior status and is no longer going to be used as my daily driver. It's still not finished as jumping the curb did no damage to my rims but finally took out my leaking "new" stock struts. Time the Koni/GC setup. Overall I did make out with this and am getting everything done that I wanted to do to the car anyway.
