Cheap Factory Fixes

I've noticed with many cars that there is a common problem, something that always breaks or wears out, and it stays that way because the owners don't realize how cheap the factory part is. Sometimes its a 3 dollar bushing or a 5 dollar interior piece that if people realized just how cheap it was, they would have fixed it long ago. Thats what this thread is about.

I'm about to place an order and I figured that if I have to pay 10 bucks for shipping at a minimum, I might as well get a few things.

So...What factory parts from the dealer fit in this categoy?

All the bulbs that die in the instrument panel fall into that category, as do the really simple stuff like the mounting pieces for the trim of your car. All those bolts, bulbs, washer sets, etc are really cheap.

And I bought the water temperature sensor right from my dealer for like $30 and replaced it myself, so there's another fairly cheap fix.

That might be - but you can buy some extra parts so when it is broke you can fix it.

The alternator belt cover is only $16. I thought it was going to be a fortune.
