On the 92 and 93, it's located behind the glove box. On the 94+ it's bolted to the rear deck, on the passenger's side. Open the trunk, remove the inside trunk cover and look up toward the passenger's side speaker.

My pleasure. I've got a diagram . . . somewhere (at home, I think) of the location and components on the 92, if you need it.

If it is in a 92, a large claw hammer and a crow bar would help!

Hope you're small.... if not, I'm for hire!
Or you could just bang on it....

I just remembered that I'd posted the scans in THIS thread:

http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...3859#post53859

Scroll down and find the post with "alloc and almloc2" jpegs. THis was a good discussion about "dead alarms in the SVX."

If I'm not mistaken I think I actually wrote a "how-to" on pulling the module -- can't remember if it was here, or on Yahoo. I'll search for it, and, if I find it, I'll post it here, again.

So I got it out, not as hard as it looks just have to approach it the right way. I am going to open it up and take a look to see what is wrong with it.

Yeah, I found that interesting also. It helps a lot to be flexible and to have little monkey hands.
