Just noticed that John has started selling again, but not from his website.

Thanks for noticing. I've got the models, the hats, and the DVDs for sale.

I've found that posting my SVX stuff on eBay works better for me. It allows me to sell stuff when I have the time. If people can buy items on my site whenever they want, then I have to make time--even if I'm crazy busy--to ship the stuff out. Plus there's that sense of immediacy when you see something on eBay.

My girlfriend just left for Spain on Monday for 6 weeks so I'm using the time I normally spend with her to get other things done. My SVX is going to get some TLC: wash and wax, interior shampoo, new trunk struts, new driver-side visor, a couple of lug nuts to replace those that have become a little rusty, and a repaint of the spoiler and the plastic parts under the rear windows that seem to fade at a different rate than the rest of the car.

Upgrading your website would be great. It is a great site, but it always makes me sad to see that it hasn't changed in quite a while. Good luck on it.

same here! John's site was my first internet stop on the way to researching SVXs. i was glad he didn't candy-coat everything - he put the SVX's shortcomings, as well as the good stuff on there.

i guess i can blame John for getting involved with this crazy car (and these crazy people!!!)

I just bought one too. I wonder how many John had up for sale. I bought the 3rd to last one. Now there is only one left. I think I'll paint mine Laguna Blue. It may take a while to get around to it as my first SVX-related project will be to put on my "new" suede/vinyl seat covers to replace the ugly cloth/vinyl ones my butt currently sits on. That should be fun.
