position of transmission output shaft

I need to know the measurement from the tunnel down to the center of the transmission output shaft if anybody would be so kind. I measured before I pulled the 4EAT out and wrote down 4 7/8". My friend that was there at the time, though, says he thought it was 3 7/8". I am starting to think my friend is right because with the weight of the transmission the motor mounts look like they are in a neutral position and I am close to the 3 7/8" mark. I have to pull down on the back of the transmission pretty good to get to 4 7/8", and it puts a gap in the front of the motor mounts. If somebody has this info it would help a great deal.
