SVX being parted out...

Hi all! Someone told me to post on here that I'm running a GT parting business, and one of the first things to go is a 1992 SVX that has a beaten body but everything else is perfect. Go here to see the listings; 10% is being donated to the National AIDS Help Foundation. See listings here and check every day, as as I take the parts off, I list them so I can get them right out to you. Why are you using our network logo in your listings? Thats fraud. We dont endorse parting out SVXs.

Yeah, i don't like seeing that logo up there like that. Just sorta bugs me. I'm not the one that makes the final decision, but i wouldn't imagine them being to thrilled either...

...it was just mentioned in a tee-shirt thread that the svx world network logo is a patented trademark. Im quite sure that your ads are copyright infringment.

It should also be well known by now that we here dont condone the destruction of svxi, especially without just cause. I like how you put the auction up and made note of how you were a respected svx world network member before actually joining...Unless "skism" was actually an account that was deleted. If it is, you never had a locker, as it would seem that even accounts that have been dormant for YEARS still have lockers (Well, untill the higher-ups finally revamp the system)

Thought this was cute too...seeing as common sence dictates the two payment methods italicized are suspect to fraud

eBay and PayPal have become very shady lately, so I only accept checks, money orders, and PayPal, but you have to pay the 5.8% fee when paying.

now honestly, Id LOVE to see another trustworthy buyer on ebay...but you definently gotta sort some bits out. The svx world network logo is copyrighted...not that it'll help make a sale and all, being MOST people want to see a picture of what they are buying. I mean, If i was selling tail lights, I sure as hell wouldnt have a picture of Fred Savage for the auction. And unless you have a way to prove 10% of our purchase money is going to a legitimate charitable orginization, then you're basicly commiting some kind of fraud. Granted, not all orginazatins are tax exempt, but some kind of tangible evidence would be nice.
Also...if you were starting a parts buisness...wouldnt it be wise to list the busisness name, adress, daytime phone #, ect. so people can contact you / your buisness?

In your ebay auction is states "I am a respected member of the svx world network." How could that be so, considering you have just now joined the "network" and so far no one seems to have any respect toward you... I don't think anyone here is going to fall for the bs you are fronting.

Where did this person come from and who give him the rights to the logo for his e-bay auctions. This seems strange to me he comes out of the blue and advertise parting out a svx on this network.

NOTICE

I called the the user and kindly informed them that the SVX World Network logo is intellectual property and is owned exclusively. I did get someone on the phone, but they said that the person I needed to speak to was out and would be back in about 2 hours. I left the message kindly requesting the removal of the logo and asked for a call back. After the line went dead (don't know if it was intentional or bad connection aka cell phone etc...) but I never got a call back. Since more than two hours have passed now and I have not got a call back nor the requested removal, I am going to label this sale as "HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE" since they seem to want to represent the sale as either "US" or endorsed by us. This is NOT the case, so bid at your own risk people.

We are moving forward with Ebay to have the auction removed as a violation if IP rights in accordance with Ebay's acceptable use policies. I hate to see when things like this happen. The sale "could be" a benefit to to SVX members here, but I am seeing too many red flags on this play.

Its now been 24 hours since the request to remove the SVXWN logo from the Ebay auction. I have not received a return phone call, a PM, and the logo remains in place in direct violation of said intellectual property rights.

The Ebay auction notes the following:

I'm all for more parts, but the SVX is a RARE car. Parting out one that runs and drives perfectly because it has some body damage is stupid and wasteful, and you're killing a perfectly working SVX that just needs some TLC. You suck, sir.
