Buzzing sound ramping up to 2k rpm

Hey guys, I have a weird problem. I get this fairly loud very fast buzzing sound that gets louder and louder ramping up to about 2k rpm, then seems to stop. I can only really hear it when the windows are down. Its deffinately linked to RPM and its coming from the front to middle of the car. What do you all think it is?

From your description, I'd say loose heat shield. Just a guess

I have that to. I took a look at it like about 2 nights a go and find out that it was a rock in the down pipe heat shield.

This is a very comon problem and it is usually what has been described here. Either rocks or just a loose heat shield makes that awful sound.
