Question lighting

Greetings!!

Can anyone suggest higher output bulbs for the high and low beams as well as the fog lights? Maybe mine need adjusting, but my low beams and fog lights togther seem to put out more light than the high beams. Rather than replacing two of the bulbs, I figured I'd just replace them all...but I don't want to put something in that will melt the fixtures.

Thanks!!

Re: Lighting

I've had good luck at this site. Lots of info. Their PIAAs on all my fronts have lasted 2 yrs. Also consider if you need the alternator wiring upgrade. B.

I get worked up when I hear light and output. Go with PIAAs they are ok. Also try out the Philips true blue (high output blubs) as well. Remember, no self respecting bulb maker will make a higher wattage bulb which could lead into meltdown of the bulb/fixture. So stay away from those HID look alike 55W=>200W bulbs. I tried them at one time and they heat up like mad and they only put out only 25-35 when we did the calculations.

For the fog light, I recommand PIAA crystal-Ion bulbs. They are costly but they shine out as yellow. Why put those in? I hate morons that think that I have my high beams on. As for tail lights, I replaced mine with a a panel of 60 LEDs per bulb. Those are not the whimpy 8 LED 1157 replacement things. Now, I have lights that are bright And they are quick to light up as well.

Lwin,

Is there a source for the 60 led panel, or were those custom? If custom, could you get a schematic?
