Cool Look at what I bought for 1700 bucks

Just for kicks & to celebrate the 100K mark, I decided to "renew" lotsa' stuff under the hood & elsewhere. Since I had a fuzzy history on this car, I decided to have a "respected" dealer do the following, to insure an uninterrupted trip to the heartland next month.
New timing, & all other belts. Replace thermostat, water pump, crank & cam cover seals, fuel filter, plugs (OEM), all differential fluids & one rear wheel bearing. Tuned car to computer specs etc. Oh - I also bought $25.00 worth of "shop supplies", but I can't find'em anywhere on the car. All this, on top of my T-Tech tranny flush, 4 wheel hot-to-trot Hunter wheel alignment, & 4 new Yoko AVS dbs last month. Why, now I've shelled out over 2300 bucks just to be absolutely, positively, & UNCONDITIONALLY ASSURED that I'll make it to Indiana & back. There's NO WAY anything can go wrong now!!! Right?? Uh... yes, I did check the donut for air pressure this time.
Radiator hoses...oh, no, I forgot. Ah, what the heck, they look OK.

Ron.

OH NO!!!!!!

Hi Ron, Don't want to put the curse of the black jelly bean on yeh.

BUT, you must know, that when the top hose gets hard it splits the top of the radiator.

It's not too late.
Harvey.

Thanks for adding to my paranoia, Harvey. I'll get a real hose job before leaving the house for parts unknown.

Ron.

Ron,

I'm sure that there is a Box-O-.......... included in that $1700 bucks.

Larry III
PS:
1) I just had an idea ( Oh no, not again). If the liquor stores have miniature Boxes-O-Wine you can buy 2, put a string between them and hang them from your rear view mirror like fuzzy dice.
2) What were you actually doing under your car with the bra & 6 D-cells ?

1. Hmmm.... Dice 'o wine. I like the concept.

2. The D-cells power the tassles. The tassles are attached to the gyroscope. The gyroscope makes the car go.

Ron.

Oh, no! Not the old "center on a Greek football team" joke.

Stooping to conquer, Ron.
