Offset Question: Highest to safely go?
Well it's spring, and that means my STi BBS wheels are going back on. These wheels fit so nicely. I was thinking the other day though, what if I put something like a 5mm spacer on each wheel to make them slightly more flush? 5mm won't hurt the bearings, and it would make the wheels have a -48 offset. What would be best to avoid rubbing? I'll put 10mm spacers on if it won't have any adverse side effects. My suspension is old and weak, and I'm no fan of rubbing. I just think it would give the car a better stance, and I"m debating doing it with the stock wheels too. Anyone attempted this yet? I may just try it out. What are the best offsets you guys have found out to work without rubbing, both front and back (I'm sure they're different)?

I believe you mean +48 offset.

Not sure about how safe it is but I remembered these for sale a little while ago.

Re: Offset Question: Highest to safely go?
I don't want something that big. That will leave me around +40, which will be cutting it close. Anyone else have wheels around a 45-48 offset that doesn't rub with 225 width tires?
