Antenna frozen

Not on the SVX but rather on my XT. It has water in it and doesn't wanna go up and down right (hasn't for about a week due to the cold weather). Just wondering what other people use to keep it from freezing. I've tried graphite (no luck), wd-40 (works but attracts dirt and dust), oil (ditto for wd-40) and wheel bearing grease (just a freaking mess). Anybody have a better suggestion other than parking it inside.
