FS: heavily modded '92 w/no tranny

alright, i'm not positive that i'm selling this thing yet, but i'm seeing if there's anyone willing to pay for it and how much they'd be willing to pay..

here's what's wrong with it:

*engine and chassis have ~150k miles on them

*transmission can't find 3rd of 4th gear. needs to be rebuilt, replaced, or converted to 5-speed.

*a couple of rust spots on the doors.

*paint is in rotten condition.. chips, dings, swirl marks. it's the original paint and it shows.

*the panel in front of the RR wheel is dented in, but not horribly.

*A/C doesn't work, might need a new compressor, but i've got a working used one in the trunk ready to be installed

now here's all the GOOD stuff..

*car is fully lowered with K&B Dropsprings and brand-new factory struts on all corners

*front rotors are ART, slotted & cryo-treated.. ~25k miles

*stainless, braided brake lines at all four corners

*aluminum underdrive pulley on the crankshaft

*mobil 1 in the engine every 3k miles since 110k

*all four speakers have been replaced with high-quality Memphis Audio speakers

*tires are Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 712's with 90% of tread remaining

*four Michelin Wintermaster snow tires are mounted on a separate set of factory alloys

*front pads are AXXIS Metalmaster ~25k miles

*rear pads are ??? high performance ~5k miles

*full leather interior is in great shape

*heated side mirrors still work

I think that's about it.. I'll edit the post if i remember anything else wrong or right with it.

I think i'd be asking around $3,000 for the car, and i'd leave the buyer in charge of transportation. this is a perfect candidate for a five-speed swap and a paintjob. the motor runs great and the suspension can eat up curves that would make a stock SVX feel squeamish..

if anyone is interested, i'd be willing to discuss the price, but with all the money i've put into the car, i feel that i'm asking a pretty reasonable amount. i'm still considering putting an autobox back in and driving it for awhile longer, but i'm thinking that it would be best to get out of this thing before i get addicted again..

i'd rather not, but if someone wants it, i'm gonna have to sell it.. i'm sure i'll buy another svx, but i'm gonna pick it more carefully the second time around.. i can't afford to be driving a car with mileage figures like mine has now..

My current SVX has 201k miles last time I checked (earlier today). 150k is not bad. Of course I want a 97 with 0k on her as well but...

PLUS! Imagine a new exhaust system, fresh leather interior, badass GPS and stereo system, and EVENTUALLy a turbo!!!!! If I could only have 2 cars, the SVX would be one of them. I think that says something. If I could only have ONE car.... it'd... hrm... tough call. Wait. No it isn't. Jaguar XJ220.

I think I've got your back on that one. I keep a 1/18 dark green XJ220 on my desk at work. Sometimes I get caught 'driving' it down the hallways.

if i could have only one car in the world, it's be an STi sportwagon.. you gotta realize that if you're stuck with ONE car, it had better be able to do EVERYTHING you want.. including showy four-wheel drifts in the snow

lol sorry scott.. in the (now unlikely) event that i move to sell, i'm probably going to want to sell it all in one package.. i don't have the time or energy to ship parts separately.. someone check with SunshinestateSVX or whoever.. hes selling a set of 4 snows already mounted.. asking a little much, imho, but i'm sure you can talk him down
