Stage I shift kit

Check out this page and give me your comments. I've had one in testing for a few weeks and it works great!

Cool Brian. I had the resistor unplugged for a while and and was a little annoying for reverse and real slow easy starts. This would be pretty nice option for an auto.

so your shift kit doesn't increase the shift points? is it just a variable resistor replacement, so it changes line pressure based on the type of driving?

It raises or lowers the line pressure based on an adjustable manifold pressure switch.

By the way, I've added a Paypal button on the page. We also take Bankcards, checks, money orders.

Got my shift kit today and installed it.

First test drive was only a mile or 2.

At slow acceleration the trany shifts normaly
and at higher acceleration the shifts are fast and with no slip between gears.

The real test its tomaro when i drive the car to school and work.

Brian,
Will this kit work on other 4EAT OBDII equiped Subarus?
If so I'll get one for our Outback Sport.

If it makes the power light flash at start up, it will probably throw a "check engine" light on the OBDII cars, as unplugging the resistor does. This is what I was afraid of.... I just hate to buy something, and then not be able to use it (I don't want my "Check Engine" light on all the time, as then I wouldn't know when I had a problem).

So, Brian, what's the deal?

Brian,
I was just about to order the kit and then I read AFBeefcake's post. I'm with Huck - I really don't want my Power light blinking at me unless there is really something wrong. Is there a fix in the works?
Thanks again for supporting the SVX community!!

I could live with the Power Light flashing at start up, but the OBDII cars don't have the power light, so instead, they turn on the "Check Engine" light...and it stays on all the time,...that is what I can't live with

Yes, the power light will blink on startup. I should have mentioned this and will add it to the page immediately. I could add some circuitry to keep the light from blinking but it would probably add $20 to the cost and be much more difficult to wire in. If this is a problem for anyone, I will gladly refund including shipping. For other Subarus, and OBD2 cars, I would like to try one on some of those but don't have any handy here right now. Huck, If you or anyone else wants to try one, I would be pleased to have you test one if you like.
By the way, the installation instructions are linked from the part page, same with the headlights.
