Trunk lid stay assembly needed

Hi all,

First of all I don't know whether my trunk lid stay assembly (both right and left sides) are working or not. But one thing i can tell is though u pull the trunk lid opener inside the car or turn the key in the trunk, it won't pops up but rather i have to raise it hardly.

Is it the way the trunk lid works in SVX or there is something wrong with my stay assembly.

If there is wrong in them, can anyone have them so that i can buy them.

thanks in advance,
Pavan.

take them off and push in on them by hand and see which one is weakest! You may have to take them all the way off and push in on the ground with alot of weight.

Man the trunk is so heavy,..... I replaced them both in 2001-2, and the stopped lift the trunk up on automatic disengage for awhile now.

Still better than having the whole thing crashing onto your head...
