im throwing that theory out the window. unless you are comparing engines that are built similarly its useless.

find anything. i looked, no go.
and i was talking about safely. read up on the thinness of the eg33 block walls, and the tranny youd have to build from scratch to achieve such power.

I know this from experience... The EasyStreet ESX car makes over 700 at the crank at full tilt (45psi plus a 200 shot of nitrous) and they're putting the power to the ground through a stock '95 WRX automatic. If you feel the need to shift it with a clutch, there are several dog or "crash box" gearsets available for Subarus from companies like GimmeGears, Chalak, and Holinger. |

yeah all suby trannies are know to be very tough, but im not sure about this svx tranny that people end up replacing more than brake pads....
and if money is no object building the engine from the ground up with forged steel or better would put it in a different category. who has done that? only one company i know of. but they make engines for aircraft use. as far as this subject goes nobodys word is truth because no one really knows for sure.

Question
IF.. (and thats a big if) Money was no object, would you want to have your pistons (and anything else you can think of) custom made from Titanium? it would be a lot lighter so your revs should pick up quicker. Just a thought.. I really dont know much about engines.. but I know I like having my Mt Bike made from Ti.

you are so right. Ti would rule all other forms of material cept maybe porcelain heads. im not sure bout that one exactly. i think something like that would qualify to be in the supercar category with maybe a 20lb turbo.
