Dang it! I just got back from visiting my stepson in your area (Missouri Valley, Iowa). Was down at the big fireworks display in Omaha on New Year's Eve. Also spent the evening of the 28th in Omaha. Next time we're out that way, we'll have to hook up. Look forward to seeing you in Reading. Oh, I met my wife in Omaha.

Well it is a small world you know. I would love to get together sometime when you are out this way. Not to many SVXers in Omaha, only 5 others besides me that I know of, and have never met any of them except one guy at the Subaru dealer one morning we were dropping off for service. I was actually up in the Chicago area over New Years, but didn't encounter any of our members driving around up there. I would have missed you anyways on this end. Hopefully we will see you in Reading.

Sure hope you can make it, Scott. Perhaps we can convoy. I usually meet up with people coming from the west, around Columbus, OH, if I can. I probably won't head out your way for a while. Once a year is about my limit. Hopefully my next vacation will be spent in warm, sunny, southern climes.

I know you and the other Reading Meet organizers had some kind of meeting (....er, beer fest) over the holdays to plan activities for this meet.

Is it too early to let the rest of us in on what activities are planned?

Are we going to SOA & or a race track?

Definately too early for activities. Although we did stay away from the drinks of Friday night so we actually got a little more accomplished. As for the rooms someone asked a little earlier. Your on your own to make arrangements although tell them you are with the SVX meet to get the special discounted rate. Most of the staff seemed familiar with it. Parking lot looks nice for the large numbers were hoping for.

I tried to stay away, I really, really did, but, I just couldn't.

Reminds me of the joke I heard, about the kid who was ice fishing and was pulling out fish hand over fist. When a man asked him how he did it, the kid mumbled an answer. Hey, I am a new member and want to get as actively involved with events as I can.. I have never been to a SVX meet before and want really badly to go... However since I am in the Marines I have to get information way ahead of time so that I can plan on the dates and get leave.... (any service members know where I'm comming from). So the Reading meet, when is it?? And where exactly?? What goes on at the meet?? I am in SC at the moment so if there are any meets that are in SC, NC, or VA that go on, please let me know and I will put 100% into being there to help show off our awesome cars to the "Non-SVX ers". I'm shure that people just stop and stare at all of the SVX's just sitting in a parking lot. It has to be a cool feeling knowing that a group of cars can have that effect on people. I also want to meet you people so I ca stick some names with some faces.
