No Jay.. more to do for a 6mt... but slightly less fab work. do a search... tom has a how to with lots of pics. remember the SVX was built auto only, not the typical swap. with the exception of the engine to trans bolting and axles on the 5mt... eveything else needs a little something. The 6mt swap I believe uses the stock driveshaft unmodified though. I used a different shaft in my 5mt that measured near perfect.... some cutting later and I still needed to remove 1/4"

Parts and such are no issue, i can buy them if it requires more. I just lack the proper tools to do custom fabrication of those parts. Plus a 6speed would be really nice.

I know they came in auto only, so no swap would be "natural" but i'm looking around to see what i can do in my garage with existing tools. I have a fair assortment, but modifying a tranny case to bolt up to an engine, i'm afraid may be beyond both my experience realm and proper tool realm. I am looking for the am checking out the how-to's as we speak. Thanks.

ANY manual swap requires fabrication...

The trans swap requires a lot of work. I make all the custom parts so there will be no modification needed except some minor drilling of holes (every car is different). The pedals are the trickiest part though and you will be glad you didn't have to make them

Nope. Mine was the first 5mt to have 4.11 gearing as well as being the first 5mt. If I recall correctly, Huck got the donor tranny from an Impreza.

i've actually came across (a few times) and met (once), a person that believes they are one of the first, he actually believes the second svx to have the swap done by the same guy that did Nemesis Destiny and truesvxnorth but a 5 speed and not 6. Ian (the mechanic and rally guy) does not do any more 5 speed swaps. he does'nt believe it would hold up.
i dont remember this svx owners' name, dont think he's on the forum either. he's got a black on liquid silver ls~l/.touring, clear headlights, 97 grille, what seems to be (at least the muffler tips) stebro exhaust, aftermarket rims and in his own words "chipped" so i assume stage 1.4
