That's awesome that you were able to get them installed so fast. Tom does great work.

i believe OT took the height measurements from the original Koni setup and duplicated it.

At Reading, the measurement between the top of his rear wheel and the ground was a full inch lower than anyone there. I believe he measured 24", while everyone else was 25".

I believe it was take measurements all around first with the Konis. Then, after the AMRs were on, adjust, measure, adjust some more, measure... Until everything was duplicated.

That's right. We first measured the car as it stood with the Koni set up, then installed the AMRs. We then measured and adjusted three more times before we got it right!

Any worries about it being too low?

I have mine set about 25 and 1/4 from the arch of the wheel well to the ground, and everyone says it looks too low

No. I've had that low for years without any problems. I really like the look!

What's the driving experience like, the Koni inserts vs the AMR struts?

Re: Just ordered my new AMR Engineering Coilovers

I drove Armando's car yesterday, to feel the difference between my setup (Dayle's springs + good oem struts) and his AMRs. Totally different animals.

Responsive is definitely the word to use, with the coilovers. The car does whatever you want it to do, and you get a good amount of feedback. And do I mean feedback. I could tell which expansion joints in the road were larger than others. It definitely changes the ride characteristics of the car quite a bit. "Sporty", but without requiring a spine re-alignment after every time you drive the car.

The springs are a bit hard, for my tastes (removes some of the refined feel of the car), but it's not bad. A slightly softer spring, with the dampening turned up a click or two, and it'd be perfect. From the looks of it, you can custom order which spring rate you'd like from AMR, so now I'm even more sold on these.
