Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Applied my 3 coat of leather treatment to the seats. They are at least twice as playable as they were before treatment . Very pleased .

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Today I replaced the o-rings in my AC system and recharged it. When we did my 5 speed swap, all of the original R12 fell out when the engine moved a bit. I have some R12 that I'm saving for a rainy day, but I still decided to convert the system and run R134a. All is well!

I may start mine this weekend as it will be warm finally. Did you remove the seats or do it in the car

Replaced the shocks on the trunk. No more having to hold it up or worry about being decapitated!

Did you wrap them in plastic?

No but I am going to clean them and the last application will be in plastic. I figured it gets hot inside the car ( needs heat )and I have to use the car for work when it doesn't rain.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Just washed and waxed it. Trying to ensure it is washed at least once a week all year, in celebration of it being 20 years old this year.

It's a beautiful car.

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Yesterday, had to drive up to Covington, KY to do a clutch job on my daughters Impreza RS, so she'd have transportation, then got home today and replaced the timing belt and water pump on the Beater Forester I picked up for a DD....I'm wore out.........I need a weekend to recover from my weekend....

Swapped in my ZX2 battery and crank it about 10 times with about a minute pause in between until it started, let it run until all the vapor stopped coming out of the exhaust (turns out there was some water in the engine) and strong-armed it into the garage whereupon I managed to remove every bolt from the control arm and ball joint minus 1 that is contorted in such a way it won't come out with some cutting or bending.
