Actually, I've found quite the opposite. Its actually cheaper to drive to Hbg and park there for a week, fly to Baltimore/Philly/Pittsburgh and get your connector there once you factor in gas, parking and of course the extra 2-3 hours of wasted time spent driving on the beltway.

Re: Reading X "ROOMS BOOKED" Thread

do you always have to contradict me? I bet you look at flights a lot don't you since you are such a world travler

Anyhoo HBG is cheaper for some flights and if you factor in parking yeah sometimes it is cheaper (but not often). I made it to PHL 2 nights ago in rushhour and I did it in 1.5 hrs and I had people in the car that would not have been amused if I did it in my normal style so yeah I did "about" the speedlimit.

Ken, are you kidding? The only non-stop flights out of GJ go to places like Denver, SLC, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and now LA.
I am flying GJ to Denver, Denver to Chicago, Chicago to Harrisburg. On the way back I go Harrisburg to DC, DC to Denver, Denver to GJ.

Secondly, Matt, I booked in January and I'm only paying $423.60 round trip, cheaper than the last time I came out. Really amazed me!

Re: Reading X "ROOMS BOOKED" Thread

I leave here at 9:41 and get to Harrisburg at 7:02 (5:02 my time), so not quite 8 hours there.
I leave at 1:40 (11:40 my time) and get home at 8:30, so 9 hours going back.
My longest flight is the one out of DC, so I'll get 4 hrs of sleep on that one!

Re: Reading X "ROOMS BOOKED" Thread

sounds like it is going to be a great trip though...the only thing I worry about is losing luggage on so many connectors. I would hate that.

we're getting rid of all of ours. the only time you can't buy boooze is between midnight and 8:00 a.m. or at the grocery store. that'll happen.

it sure is nice to go liquor shopping on sundays now.

We can't buy hard liquor after 10 pm and beer/malt beverages, etc after midnight but can buy as early as 6 am every morning. That goes for every liquor shop/gas station/grocery store other than Wally-world-damn nazis don't sell anything after 9pm
