Not worthy... yet!
Bonjour from Montreal..
I have a 98 Impreza Sport Outback Wagon, but have been looking at getting a SVX. Funny thing is - is that buying one makes no sense. I would want it for the summer - but it's AWD!.. It's not great on gas.. parts are expensive.. it's automatic.. I really don't need the headache of owning another older car.. so why do I want one?!! Anyway - great site. Hopefully I can tell everybody about my "new" 1994 black AWD SVX that I've been looking at. It is going for about 10 Grand Canadian. Under 100,000 KMs (about 60,000 miles), lady and summer driven. No rust, new mags.. looks great. Good deal?.. hmmm... thoughts appreciated. Thanks everybody! |

For the mileage that's a decent price. I've seen 97s with 200k go on autotrader.ca for 11k$.
Have someone thouroughly check it out before you buy it. And if you don't like the automatic, you can always have a manual swapped in. It's like a fad now or something

Checking in
Jim Lahm from Portland here. I visit only several times per year. Still have my two SVX's. The older one now has 218.000 and the new one, a little over 28,000.

Hello Karwel, you are welcome to the network.
Are your cars left hand drive in Brasil like in the USA, or right hand drive like in Japan or UK? What model years are the two cars? Joe

I'm nomad ....this is nightmare.
Hi, I've been reading a lot on this network! Man, there so much info on that car that nobody knows. well , that's mine all the way from Québec! I called it Nightmare. Drawings for custom paint is finished , need 800$ more to start the job. Can't post it cause, don't want to be imitated. So for now I got the wheels @ 16 pds , underdrive light pully , whole intake from svxwarehouse.. and now i'm doing white smoke so...maybe i'll do some seals next month....

Welcome to the site! Looks like someone put a bandaid on your fender and your wheels are on backwards (I think)
Enjoy your stay. (My SVX same from Quebec)

the band aid is accually an air trap. we cut the fender , put a pipe to push air to the intake. the both sides are done that way. for the wheels , we follow the instruction up to the torque , on what sides they we're meant , ect. Don't misunderstand me, i'm no rice boy... I'm in for the real thing ( stage 4 super charger?? lol ) Ever saw a 1000hp SVX? I have to change the brakes for the 6 pistons and the suspension first. security on track first !

I was joking about the tires
It's common for new people to post pics of their SVX with the stock rims on the wrong side.
