Why do all liberals ignore good news that can be directly or indirectly attributed to Bush.

Ain't the economy great in general terms. Stock market setting new all time records, tax revenues very high, unemployment down---lots of jobs being created. (of course here in New Mexico crook democrat Richardson claims credit, but everyone knows better---the jobs are IN SPITE of him not because of him).

I'm completely astonished with the debate last night.

First off, Jack Carter is a spittin' image of his father. Looks just like him, and sounds just like him. Keep in mind, I can't stand Jimmy Carter. Several reasons for this... Let's just pick one... How about..."He gave away the Panama Canal". WTF??? Why?

And...If his son had said "I'm a businessman" one more time, I was going to drive down to wherever he was and shoot him."

I sat down to watch that debate with an attitude against the democrat, and favoring Ensign whom I've voted for every single time he's run.

With this in mind, I'm absolutely astonished to say that Jack Carter won the debate hands down.

Ensign became Bush Jr.

Ensign started right off saying he worked his way through college as a Blackjack dealer. Huhh?? His family owned the old Circus Circus empire.... He comes from a family of millionaires. He may have played like a blackjack dealer at one of daddy's casinos, but he didn't work his way through college like he was making it sound.

So my eyebrows went up... Huh? But I brushed it off, he's still mah man.

But then, here comes the flow of lies, and Carter beat him like a red headed stepchild. He caught him in every single one, and shut him up. Ensign was doing everything he could just to stay cool, but the anger showed.

1 of several examples:

Carter hit him up on the wire-tapping, and right on cue, Ensign said Carter's view allowed the terrorists to get away, because the call is gone by the time you get the warrant. Carter replied and explained FISA, and then went into the 72 hours after the fact to get a warrant that's written into the law. Carter said "Since you never mentioned they have 72 hours after the fact to get the warrant, I can only assume you didn't know about it..... Are you paying attention up there, or are you just a lip sync for the president?"

I lost it. Hilarious!

Ensign truly sounded just like George Bush. It was like he had memorized every speech Bush ever gave. Every single ploy Bush gives, he repeated verbatim. From this, I see where the 96% of his votes were with the president. It's obvious now.

John Ensign lost my vote last night for the first time in over a decade. Something tells me he lost a LOT of votes last night. He's another republican yes man.

Early voting starts on 23 October and runs through 03 November.

I finally saw the Campaign ad which Carter claimed Ensign just flat out lied.

Huh! I would have been ticked off too.

It starts off like a countdown scenario, with a narrator talking in the background. He says it's a call from a known terrorist. The phone rings, someone picks it up..then pauses. Then the narrator says "Carter wants him to hang up the phone and go get a warrant." They hang up the phone, and the screen goes red like some huge nuclear warhead went off.

Then the screen shows a really ugly picture of Carter with evil looking people behind him as if he supports the terrorists.

Then it shows Ensign, and says Ensign wants to protect our citizens. Ensign is right... Then big letters on the screen and narrator says Carter is wrong for Nevada.

You republicans are squeezing that scare clause to death. It's really getting old, isn't it? It's not like the republicans up there "stopped" 9/11, or even responded to Katrina correctly. All those scare commercials do is remind us of how badly the republicans have done to protect us.

This land is out between the airport and the main post office near Sunset. Businesses and an industrial park have sprung up all around it, and they rezoned it as such. Doing anything different with the land wouldn't make sense. Airport, main post office, and surrounded by an industrial park. How would you zone it?

There was also full disclosure all around. The attorney left out a bank branch on one of the 7 disclosures, but it was on all of the rest. They said oops, and went back and fixed it. That's what was in the local paper. Where all this mafia attorney crap came from, I don't know. More of the Fox scare tactic stuff conjuring up images of gatlin guns and old model T's. It's really not going to phase us very much since our Mayor was a mafia attorney. Labeling someone as mafia doesn't infer any guilt. Or at least it doesn't under our Constitution.

But give Fox enough time, and they'll have you Fox zombies believing Reid shot a baby cause he wanted the stroller.

Wasn't Novak involved in treason and releasing Federal secrets? I don't listen to people like that.

Actually I first read about the Reid corruption in the New Mexico paper---generally a liberal rag. The spelling was mine and not Fox's.

What about Reid using campaign contributions for Christmas Bonus's/Tips for staff, etc????

Did his lawyer forget to do something there???

My whole point is not to finger point to Democrats like you point to Republicans, but to point at "politicians" in general. Neither part has a corner on corrupt representatives. Read my next post in this forum.

Well, this thread got lost in the march of time.

Speaking of marching, that's what the democrats did on the rebuticans.

The neo-cons are out. Both House, and Senate. Democrats did not lose even one of their own incumbent seats. Not even one. But picking up 28+ house seats, and 6 Senate seats?

Was there a statement made about the superpulous BS that's been floating out of the neo-con's mouth?

I say they should be nice.... and wait a few months before the impeachment ceremony begins.

I was assuming they would just take him, give him a blindfold, and put his azz next to a leaky microwave oven. He doesn't deserve the cost of a bullet, and there would be too much in-fighting on who gets to shoot him.
