Totally agree.

The only ban I would really want to see in the gay community is the use of the word "partner". It confuses me everytime, and I always naturally assume a financial partner. Unless the person is just flat out sparkling in the dark obvious, I'll mistake it everytime.

I wish they would just say my boyfriend or girlfriend, significant other, lover, etc. Even "Life Partner" is fine. But just partner? Rant, rant! I'm on a soapbox right now over that due to my saying "So, are you the brains or the money of the partnership?" a couple of days back. That was embarrassing after she clarified. And she was a little condescending about it when explaining. (It was her fault!!) Rant....

Time For Another Episode Of "Desperate Republicans"...

The Republican version of my penis is bigger than your penis played, interestingly enough, (can you say Freudian slip?) in a thread about gay marrige, but the measurement of TRUE studliness is... PRODUCTIVITY! In this week's episode we have conservatives engaged in a heated verbal battle over who is more PRODUCTIVE!:

NapaBavarian:
I make more money before breakfast than some people make all day.

How will Sifu Lee come back after the ultimate verbal b*tch slap from a fellow conservative, the WORST insult, the "I MAKE MORE MONEY THAN YOU DO!" attack! This is the Republican version of the Democrat's, infamous "I HAVE MORE SEX THAN YOU!" but taken FAR MORE SERIOUSLY!
Stay tuned for our next episode of "Desperate Republicans" when we will see what Sifu Lee does in response the such disrespect. Will he claim a higher net worth? Will he call Tom DeLay for advice? Will he crush NapaBavarian with his enormous...tax deductible contibutions to the Rebublican Party over the years? It's anyone's guess as to what could happen in this epic battle of pecuniary emulation or... "WHO HAS THE BIGGEST ESTATE!"

I think the word "gay" as it pertains to homosexuals, faggots, lesbians or queers should be banned. That is a total misuse of a word that has a very positive meaning.

Would you believe that some people interpret this as saying you make more money than I do?? No wonder they are always getting things wrong and totally misrepresenting every success and accomplishment. Makes you wonder about the intelligence of some people.

That is really hilarious.

Defending Marriage From The Dirty Gays And Liberals

I'm sure you've seen this already (or something like it), but it was forwarded to me, and I found it at least somewhat amusing, if not completly surprising.

Ronald Reagan - divorced the mother of two of his children to marry Nancy Reagan, who bore him a daughter only 7 months after the marriage.
Bob Dole - divorced the mother of his child, who had nursed him through the long recovery from his war wounds.
Newt Gingrich - divorced his wife who was dying of cancer.
Dick Armey - House Majority Leader - divorced
Sen. Phil Gramm of Texas - divorced
Gov. John Engler of Michigan - divorced
Gov. Pete Wilson of California - divorced
George Will - divorced
Sen. Lauch Faircloth - divorced
Rush Limbaugh - Rush and his ex-wife Marta have six marriages and four divorces between them.
Rep. Bob Barr of Georgia - Barr, not yet 50 years old, has been married three times. Barr had the audacity to author and push the "Defense of Marriage Act." The current joke making the rounds on Capitol Hill is "Bob Barr... WHICH marriage are you defending?!?"
Sen. Alfonse D'Amato of New York - divorced
Sen. John Warner of Virginia - divorced (once married to Liz Taylor.)
Gov. George Allen of Virginia - divorced
Henry Kissinger - divorced
Rep. Helen Chenoweth of Idaho - divorced
Sen. John McCain of Arizonia - divorced
Rep. John Kasich of Ohio - divorced
Rep. Susan Molinari of New York - Republican National Convention Keynote Speaker - divorced
So... homosexuals are going to destroy the institution of marriage? It seems that Christian Heterosexual Republicans are doing a fine job without anyone's help!

allow "marriage" for the religious types, and civil unions for the non-religious types, with each being the same under the law - the difference being that the "marriage" has the religious ceremony involved.

now everyone can be happy and/or miserable in their marriage/civil union.
