Tom. Tom. Tom. Tom..

Keep this up and I'll be sending your dad the money to pay off the timers to "switch" drivers and give ya all DNFs

Couldn't agree more that tires are the biggest thing you can change if you wanna see a difference in times. Usually good for about a second in a 45 second course (but you still have to know how to use them to make that second up with pressure, over driving and braking).

P.S. Checked out the pics on NASIOC and someone snapped this pic of a white STI in the third heat - I'm caught in a blur as I work pole #10 with my chief...

There's a guy on NASIOC who took over 240+ pics of Heat 1. From the looks of it, pics from the other heats should be up later...

Mike Louie is the "ringer" from our SCCA region that we were trying to get to run our racer.

He only got pics of the first heat, since he was working during the 2nd and 3rd and ran the 4th.

How did you copy the pics of you off of the site? Did you have to pay for them?

Nope. I didn't have to pay. He only shows small low resolution pics in the album for Heat 1. I just right clicked and saved the low quality pic to my computer and then uploaded it here to my locker. I may buy the high res versions of the #5 and #6 pics he took of my car.

I've got all the SVX Challenge cars in my locker (finally figured it out) they are numbered as Mike has them so if'n you wanna purchase high res ones they'll be easier to find.
Also, put in some Reading photos that have never been seen before. Now I can sleep

The 'calling' is definitely there. I was just amazed by the way several of the SVXs in the hands of experienced and even novice drivers were able to post such competitive times against WRXs, STI's, and even the new Legacies... (that ride on a new platform)

Will do Bill. The event kicks off at 11am and on site registration starts at 8:30am. Since I've already registered on-line, I'll probably show up at 9:30am and start walking the course 4-5 times. I'm not sure how many runs we'll each have, but I want to work on progressively getting faster and faster each time out. I saw TomsSVX do this nicely on Saturday - he really kept his composure and just got faster each time out!

But most importantly, I'll be sure to have fun!

-Chike (I keep looking at the Bill-stock pic and ultra-relaxed way he's holding the steering wheel! )

Don't you read boy. Hocrest posted his stuff here a while ago. He was to be our co-driver.

The Impreza isn't a new platform in fact it is almost as old (could be as old depending on development time) as the SVX. Sure it has been tweeked over that time but it is still the same age. In reality the WRX or STi is NOT the best car for autoxing especially for beginners

And if you need assistance don't hesitate to ask. My first time out I was frightened, but I had Mike Louis to help and my few last runs I ran alone...good god that was fun.
