I agree with those who have suggested that you change the wheels back to the same size front and rear. The main reason I suggest it is tire rotation. The fronts are going to wear faster than the rears no matter what sizes you have on the car. If you have mismatched sizes you can't rotate them.
I rotate my tires every 5k miles to make sure that they're worn evenly all the way around.

rolling doameter measurements
Ok so now my son and i have done the measures
Green SVX 18x7.5 with 235/40s both ends - rolling measure 77.5" - same distance measure F and B Red SVX 18x8 235/40 frt 18x9 265/35 rears - rolling measure 78" for the front wheels and 78.25" for the rears Thumping has reduced with tyre pressures on Red giving measurements above fr 41psi rears 28 psi..still there tho David
