???? Usually they're the one's that are there the longest. High cost compared to a new one and a poorer interest rate typically 1-3 percent higher for a used vs new hence even if its a couple thousand less you'll end up paying more in the long run with a car that will be a two owner car that you got used not new.

The 3.5L V-6 is an amzing motor that makes just under 300hp stock. The mods for it are easy to do and affordable. The Coupe is great looking. I was surprised at all the problems Car & Driver had with their Legacy GT. A G35 is a viable alternative and if you find a used one, it can be affordable.

I've never bought a used car that young. But I do have a tendency to buy cars around the 14 month old range. Personally, about 14 months usually works out pretty well with the depreciation, etc., at least so far.

Honestly Tom,
If you're willing to spend 14K on an '03 LGT, I'll spend a little less on a late model '04-'05 Impreza 2.5RS or you can pick up an '04 WRX with decent mileage (40K+ miles) for around 15-17K

Just looked on autotrader and every single car I saw the mileage was higher than what I would want. We're talking about 60k or more for the same price as the LGT...maybe a little under. The LGT i'm looking at only has 34k on the clock. I need to get a car that won't need any work for the first year or two except routine maintanence. Only thing with the LGT is that it will need tires in a year.

Impreza
Hi Noobe, I saw a Subaru ad on the tube recently for a NA Impreza. Payments were likr 169.00 a month. This would be a new car with new car warranty. I don't remember what the down was but it couldn't be too bad. You can also get a leather kit plus some other factory stuff. You would be repair free for at least three years or 36 thousand miles. Happy car hunting. Take care, BOBB

Amazing motor doesn't make up for torque steer that makes a Saab Viggen seem like your average Chevy Celeb. As for the GT. I really wasn't. If you pay attention to the reviews a lot of the "anal issues" seem to be there with all of the testing of it. Sure its fine for a blind, deaf and dumb driver who wants to go fast and doesn't know what a 29k+ car should be like (BMW/Audi/Mercedes) but it is totally outclassed in its price range.

Exactly my thoughts. If you're young and dumb are you really gonna wait 1000 miles to show off to your friends? Big risks in buying a used "performance" car!
