How much different does this sound than perhaps the stock airbox with K&N and Intake resonator removed....because I have that combination and it is quite deep and loud compared to stock. I can't imagine that it would be that different with the exception that the intake element is cone, resulting in more surface area?

id say as much as a diference between the cone filter and the k&n as the K&N had over stock. it relocates the sound and without the filter housing their is nothing to muffel it.
oh an other note its a damn good thing i got dayle's filter. a return hose for my pwr stearing exploded and tranny fluid went all over the engine bay. if i haden't relocated my intake tranny fluid would have gotten all over my maf. |

i can hear a deep vacuum when i slam on the gas it sounds awsome. way better than just cutting the resinator. that gave me a piter patter sound. it sounded ok at the time but the intake i got now is a big improvement.
