You're not going to get a quality hood for that price.
$350 is about as low as I saw the old CF hoods go for, and the quality isn't exactly impressive.

If they would be produced again, I would be interested. I do like the scoop because it keeps the engine bay much cooler than the stock hood.

Well if someone starts making the CF hoods again and there are made better. I would buy one.
The one I have is starting to crack.

back to the comment about a heavy trunk lid.... I have one I am working on right now. It is fiberglass, and it is not heavy. A CF lid would save probobly 2-3lbs and cost about $800. It would not be worth it. It has already been discussed that the weight you feel when the struts go bad is simply all in the hinge mechanism.

EARL? just curious , did you buy the blue one with the hood or did you add it later
 If so where did you buy the hood  Please help ! There seems to be an issue of where to get carbon hoods . Help if you can! Thanks

The car came with it. He got it when there was a group buy for them. I checked with the company someone posted the other day and they said that they no longer produce them.

You would have to have one made. As far as I know there are no more SVX carbon fiber hoods left to buy, untill some one makes more.
