He is probably closer to the true value than you are, but I understand your expectations.

Hehe, its always easier to say that, but Im sure most on here wouldnt even sell their, wrecked w/salvage titled Suby for $2000. I've probablly spent almost half of that in wax products keeping it in the condition its in. Considering, there isn't ONE scratch on my car anywhere. But I do understand. He probablly wants to resell it. I get alot of dealers contacting me.

Well, I paid $950 for this one that had a newly rebuilt tranny but a bad front differential. It only cost me $150 to repair the differential. Notice the great paint job. The interior is equally as clean.

Good deal you got there. Not a bad looking Suby. I've noticed that there isnt much of a SVX membership here in Texas. I see ya'll are big up north. Why is that?

Well New Mexico is not North by any means and there are many Subarus here. True, not that many SVXi, but Subaru is perfect for the weather here with our winter snows. The same is true of many "snow" states. Subaru is a very recognizable name there. While I have always lived in southern and southwestern states since I have owned my SVXs, it is true that there are not many in the actual southern states.

I just gave a couple away to family living in Louisiana, so the southern population has increased slightly.

Thats an easy one. Its just finding somoene to buy it. Like, I did last time. Although, he hasnt picked it up and looks like he's not going to. I just got off the phone w/ a guy in Canada and we're wondering if the guy died or is in jail. Well, there are several reasons. Overall condition. Not one scratch can be found on the car. Prestine interior. Absolutely no weather damage. No fading. The rubber seals show no sign of cracking. How about this, if I was to pull the car out of my garage, you wouldnt be able to find anything wrong with it. Thats why. There arent even any scratches on the black glass. No lines in the paint from brushes. But anyhow, it is truly perfect. And for a 92 model, I'd say thats unheard of. Original everything. Other than the busted pinion set...lol. I have $2500 for your silver Suby. How bout it? Willing to part with it? Or, do you find it insulting. lol. Im sure its the later.

I've been in Houston 30 years, only seen a handful of SVX's. I've even tried to get a meet going and NOTHING. I did see a nice pearly one a few months back, but thats it.

The simple fact is that it is Supply and Demand. You can get what someone is willing to pay for it.

No, I would not be insulted at all because it is probably worth the $2500-$3200 range in its condition. And mine only has 117K miles. Also, I have no doubts that yours is worth more than mine---just not as much as you seem to think.

Oddly enough one of my Pearlies (son has it now) originally came from Houston. I bought it with only 96K miles on it.

I hope you do get what you want for it. Just don't feel insulted when someone offers the going market rate.

I got a deal lined up on a IROC, which lately has been the car I've been after. I need this gone. I dont really get on here that much so make a reasonable offer and its yours. 281-856-2817. or email me. sbeenahr@sbcglobal.net

Thanks Tom for the help on the rack and pinion. I got one put on from a 97 and new battery and alternator.

I've just had all fluids changed and fuel injectors cleaned.

$4,000 dollars max and that's if it gets bought at a dealership IMHO. The fact is: No matter how pristine it is you will never, EVER sell that car for a penny over $4,000(and that's being generous) unless the guy is a complete in the dark idiot. I paid $3,900 for mine with 118K miles and needing a few little things but with great paint and interior and no rust from a car lot, and if I had it to do over again knowing what I know now I wouldn't have paid a penny over 3K for it. I have a 92 pearly for sale right now for $3,000 and it only has 92K original miles on it, Is prod.#967,Came from Kansas, And has all paperwork since 26K miles and just needs the bumpers painted and a dent removed, But nobody is buying. Blue book on your car is about $4,250-$4,500 last I checked for excellent condition and you will never get over that for it. Do the math, your car isn't anymore special than any other SVX.
