Raceconcepts

All I have to say is Ben is stand up guy. A true asset to the SVX community. I live in northern California and shipping time was like two days. The quality is excellent and everything was safely packaged.

DRILLED and SLOTTED ROTORS

I have the drilled and slotted Bradi rotors on the front of my car. I DID NOT get them from Raceconcepts. Got mine from Rotors Diect in Long Beach. However there should be little difference. The only possible diff being the method of putting in the holes and slots. Sounds like Raceconcepts does the machining right. And the price is right. I have stock pads and other than an occasional sqweek during light application they work just fine.

How much do the brakes squeak when using the Axxis pads with either the Bradi slotted or X-drilled & slotted rotors?

Thinking about getting the semi-metallic pads Ben's sells and keeping the other ones I have as spares (AutoSpecialty).

I just ordered my complete set from Ben. I got the bore/slot design.

I decided to be "brave" and go for it. So I will be posting a review as soon as I get them installed (hopefully next Saturday as they'll be here around Friday of next week).

Thanks Ben for such an awesome deal!

I use them on X+slot...
Every once in a while they will squeak, but it isn't that bad and ussually goes away real quick. It only happens in certain situations, I can't recall exactly what I do that causes it right now. I'll be driving it again early next week so i'll pay attention or maybe just being in the car will remind me.

Thanks. I'll be interested to know... A little squeaking doesn't bother me, btw.

EDIT: Oops, guess it's been too long, as it was the IRotors deal that I got in on. I did help a friend install his Race Concepts dimpled rotors and brake lines and he's been quite happy with them. An often overlooked item is to rebuild the brake calipers when replacing the rotors. It's easy to do and can restore some lost performance.

A few years back, both of my stock front rotors warped and cracked so bad I am amazed they didnt fly apart. I got a pair of front RaceConcepts.com dimpled/sloted rotors and put on my car. I have not had a single problem. I think they eat up pads a bit faster, but I am not scientifically sure on that yet. I can say that I have real numbers that show the car can stop (60-0) much faster than it did on OEM rotors.

I can also say that I have over 1000 trips down the 1/4 mile track. 300-400 of them on these rotors. Each trip I get up to 85-90 miles per hour then in short and limited space have to bring the car back down to a stop. I am 100% positive that this is what killed my OEM rotors. Since going to the RC ones, not a single problem has been seen.

Now that I am employed again, when I get my checks coming in or a regular basis, I am going to get the RC rear rotors as well as the stainless braided lines.

Most of you all know how hard I drive my car. This will be my 6th year of NHRA racing. I recommended these to my brother-in-law for his SVX and he too has good things to say.

Thats my two cents, hope it helps.

(Ben expect my second order soon)
