Sounds great. That was my old stomping ground growing up. I lived in Pinecliffe (downstream from Rollinsville) and Central City was our county seat. My mom has since moved to Longmont, but I still cruise up to the peak to peak every time I'm back. I miss it up there.

i am familiar with the area. i've worked in central city/black for almost 17 years (almost since day 1 of gaming). one of my former employees lived outside of pinecliffe in a shack. crazy mountain folk.

Sounds about right. Imagine one of those hillbillies in the urban jungle of LA. I'm like a fish out of water here. But that'll happen.

Fun story:
When I turned 16 and got my driver's license I was still uninsured for a couple of days, but being a teenager I had to go test my newly found independence. My mom had a '87 DL wagon at the time, and said to me "stick to the backroads, I don't want you getting pulled over without insurance." I promptly headed up Rollins Pass, and a couple of turns up I drifted sideways. Scared the beegeepers outta me.

So I did it again and again until it stopped being scary. I can honestly say that my Subaru rally hobby started on my 16th birthday with my first solo drive.

On another note, a guy named Rod Randoll lives up there by Pinecliffe and has had an SVX since the '90s. I was very close with his kids growing up, and I wonder if he's on the forum.

Not me. I haven't been a local up there since 2000. Geez that's a long time when you think about it. This is making me homesick. I'd better get back to my mind numbing work.
