By real numbers you mean dyno or track time #'s or do you mean on the camshaft profiles? I posted the complete plots of the cnc data on the camshaft profiles earlier in the thread. These cams obviously haven't been installed in any cars yet since the matching valves do not come in until next week.

Excellent. I would like to line something up with the machine shop you are using down in Miami, since they are probably going to be the only shop with at least some experience with our heads. Do you have any contact information for them? Or we could work a deal through you if you prefer. I would also like to discuss the possibilities of getting some mild porting and polishing done by them, and see what type of valve job they can do.

This would be great. Now I can knock out the bottom end once we work out the bearings.

I posted in Tom's engine build progress thread. I already have the high silicon aluminum rod bearings in stock. $100 a set. As soon as you have your crank out we can get it done.

Sweet. By the way, you never gave me any info on where to ship the crank and stuff, or has that not been set up yet?

Valves are in. Fedex is picking up the valves and springs tomorrow and off they go to you.

Valves

Mike:

You mentioned that the intake valves will be just over 92mm long the exhaust valves will be just over 92.6mm long. What are the dimentions of the stock valves?

The new valves look great. Great job sourcing them. I'm glad you went with inconel on the exhaust valves. They should hold up well.

Are you recommending that we install new stock external springs? I was thinking of doing that just to be on the safe side. Anything else we should consider changing out with the valve change?

Thanks

Chuck D.

The factory valves are:
intake: 90.00mm
exhaust: 90.85mm

Just re-use your old outside springs. The only thing you should need are new valve stem seals which are included in the overhaul gasket and seal kit.
