Thumbs up

Kick @ss dude! Keep up the excellent work. Due to you really progressing through in a timely fashion... I REALLY can't wait to see updates when you get stage 3 rolling. Your quality of work and description leads me to belief forced induction will actually work in your case. Thank you very much for your hard work in contributing to the performance of the SVX!

BTW, do you do this type of work for a living (own a shop or something)?

Today's progress

Today I
1) drilled out the jets to the correct size for our svx's
2) installed the fogger nozzles with teflon pipe joint compound
3) installed the jets and the hoses to the fogger nozzles
4) installed the fittings to the solenoids with teflon pipe joint compound
5) fabricated the solenoide bracket
6) installed the solenoids to the solenoid bracket

I fabricated the prototype solenoid bracket using the drivers side bracket for the throttle body cover. Next week when i get back from tuning the kit on the dyno I'll give the bracket to the metal shop and have them duplicate the entire thing. As you can probably picture the solenoids mount underneath the throttle body cover on the drivers side of the throttle body assembly. They are mounted horizontally so that they stick out to the edge of the throttle body cover and ever so slightly below. The edge of the throttle body cover touches the top edge/corner of the solenoids......it looks very nice installed.

I didn't bring the camera to the shop with me today but i brought the bracket home so I could take a few pics.

Ya I've been noticing some weird stuff going on with the dns for the domain the last few days. I've been directed to a site that says my domain is parked somewhere a few times. I'm still waiting on our internet install to get the new server up so hopefully it gets better and not worse in the mean time.

thursday's progress

Here's the daily progress report and more pictures.

The biggest part of todays work was fabricating the last custom bracket. This one was for the throttle switch. The universal ones that come with nitrous kits are made so you can easily bend them into the position you need; unfortunately that makes them just as easy to get bent out of position by the throttle. With the custom bracket that's not a problem

here some pics of the throttle switch bracket both off and fitted on the car.

After i finished the throttle switch bracket I installed the throttle body which i had plumbed with the fogger nozzles onto the car.

Next I had to put the nitrous feed line into the nitrous solenoid as it has to be threaded on before screwing it to our custom solenoid bracket. I had already done this for the short fuel supply line but was waiting to do the nitrous line because it's 14 feet long and in the way until you run it.

Then i attached the nitrous and fuel lines from the two fogger nozzles to the outputs from the solenoids then bolted the bracket to the throttle body.

Next I reinstalled the intake hose being careful to get the seals on the throttle body openings correct. You want to take your time here and get it positioned right before you try and push it over the throttle body; if you're stuggling you probably don't have it right yet. I've had the problem before.

I then ran the nitrous supply line back to the trunk where the bottle will mount.

And finally installed the throttle body cover.

So now all the hard stuff is done and all that remains before we can go to the dyno and tune the chip is the electrical, mounting the bottle, and installing the propper spark plugs. The spark plugs came in today.

This is so RAD! I can't believe it's even happening!

So, what if we wanted to use Stage 2 in conjunction with Stage 3?

Keep it up man!
